Session 1: People Focused Leadership

Presenter: Alex Draper, Founder and CEO, DX Learning Solutions

How many times have you assumed the person you’re talking to is male or female? Asian or Latinx? English-speaking? We automatically make assumptions based on appearance and let those perceptions dictate how we interact with people like someone we just met or even our own work teams. We need to identify and move beyond those assumptions so that perceptions don’t drive our interactions.

Alex will walk us through a model that captures a modern mindset that encourages self-awareness, empathy and improvement, improving communication and helping us as leaders promote psychological safety and higher performance for our teams by uncovering our leadership blind spots. It stimulates the growth mindset for inclusive leadership.

10:30 am – 10:45 am

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

1:00 pm – 2:45 pm

Session 2: Betting On Our Strengths

Co-Facilitators: NAAAP Leaders

Gina Yeo-Bennett, NAAAP Chief Talent Solutions Officer, Certified Professional Coach

Keith Nishida, NAAAP Pride Director, DEI Professional

By the end of this StrengthFinder workshop, you’ll be jumping at the opportunity to raise your bets (on yourself and your team!) They say “play on your strengths”- now how would that look like for NAAAP leaders and in allowing our diverse teams to maximize our own contributions towards common goals?!

Let us give you the tools and insight to understand what you and your team do BEST, while “finding your strengths” as a leader. Growth-mindsets only! And with great powers (or strengths), comes great responsibility. We’ll present an exciting opportunity designed to keep us all in the game throughout the rest of the year. You in?!
