Marynka Rojas Gorgen
NLA Director &
Presidents Council Chair, NAAAP

Marynka Rojas Gorgen enjoys retirement from a career in public service where she specialized in strategic planning and performance management.

Besides her work with NAAAP as NLA Director, Presidents Council Chair, and San Jose Chapter President/Chief Visioning Officer, she is heavily involved in dragon boat at the local, regional, and national level as a coach and paddler for DieselFish Dragon Boat Team, and board member for the Pacific Dragon Boat Association and US Dragon Boat Federation.

Ashley Mack
Field Ops Supervisor, Atlanta Gas Light & Executive Director, NAAAP

As Executive Director, Ashley oversees the administration, programs, and strategy of the organization. Ashley joined NAAAP in 2011 and has served roles with increasing levels of operational responsibility. Most recently as Chief Financial Officer, she provided oversight of NAAAP’s financial vision and strategy.

Professionally, Ashley is the first female AAPI field operations leader in Atlanta Gas Light’s 165-year history where she is responsible for the safety and performance of 80+ first responders. Ashley co-founded and became Chairwoman of the first AAPI ERG at Southern Company Gas.

Ashley earned a BBA from Georgia State University and an MBA in accounting from Texas A&M University.

Will Cheng
Global Director of People Analytics, Cargill & President, NAAAP Minnesota

Will joined NAAAP MN in late-2016, as part of the team to reestablish the Minnesota chapter. Will is the Global Director of People Analytics at Cargill.

Prior to Cargill, he spent over 11 years at Target Corporation, working in In-Direct Procurement, U.S. Stores Business Intelligence, Canada Stores Business Intelligence and Marketing Insights & Analytics.

He served on Target’s Asian Business Council (ERG) for over 6 years. Will sits on the board for Medal of Honor Twin Cities and host committee for APIASF; and also advises for the Southeast Asian Diaspora Project (SEAD).

Gina Yeo-Bennett

Gina is a certified professional coach (BU Coach) and thought leader in high performance workforce, leadership development and talent management. Her global experience include leadership roles with Fortune 500 companies like Harley-Davidson, Allstate, Flowserve, CDW and international clients Caltex Oil, KLCC, St. Regis Hotel and DIGI.

Fun facts about Gina: She enjoys oil painting, international travels, is a hardcore foodie and most of all, she loves riding her motorcycle.

Keith Nishida
ERG & DEI Consultant &
National Program Director, NAAAP Pride

Keith believes in advocacy through visibility. Serving as National Program Director, NAAAP Pride (building inclusive leaders through educational programming & advocacy for LGBTQ+ Asian identity). Currently an ERG & Digital Strategies consultant at DEI management consulting firm, supporting corporate executives engage & retain top talent.

Previously worked on multicultural marketing projects with global brands like Toyota, Tokyo Disney & HokaONE. Proud bilingual first-gen Japanese American!

Junann Lopez
Senior Credit Rep, Hallmark Cards &
President, NAAAP KC

Junann is President of NAAAP, Kansas City. She has worked at Hallmark Cards for 19 years, and is currently a Senior Credit Representative. She is the Vice Chair of the Asian American Resource Community at Hallmark, (AARCH). Through Hallmark’s volunteer program she has contributed to the community in a variety of organizations.

She was lead for the Finance Division United Way Campaign, Special Olympics committee member, organized the first Disc Golf Fundraiser for Heartland MS Society, and judges debate and forensics tournaments for Basehor Linwood High School.

Noelle D. Blanco
Chief Communications Officer, NAAAP SJ, National Marketing Lead, NAAAP Pride &
Marketing Director, ERG Symposium, NLA

Noelle D. Blanco (she/her/they) is a first generation Filipina-Portuguese American, Queer individual originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. Serving as National Marketing Lead for NAAAP Pride while dual-serving as the Chief Communications Officer for the NAAAP San Jose Chapter. This is Noelle’s third NAAAP National convention she is on the planning team for and is so honored to be volunteering as the Marketing Director for this year’s ERG Symposium and National Leadership Academy (NLA) at Bally’s Las Vegas.

Noelle came into the NAAAP world in a time of personal and professional transition in her life, looking to join a community of thoughtful leaders to collaborate. She brings over a decade of experience in events, digital marketing, and partnership development for nonprofit and corporate organizations.

She currently works as a Marketing and Branding Strategy consultant in the Bay Area. She also enjoys poetry writing and being a loving mother to her Chihuahua-Corgi mix rescue, Nugget (who is known to make appearances on video calls). Noelle naturally enjoys keeping the energy flowing during networking opportunities and hopes to be at the forefront of many important conversations and represent her community in a meaningful way.

Catharine Kelley

Diversifying Talent, Bright Horizons Family
& Chief Talent Officer, NAAAP

Catharine Kelley was adopted at age 4 months old from Seoul, South Korea and raised by her Irish Catholic family in Quincy, Massachusetts. Catharine self identifies as Irish Asian American/She/Her.

She serves as the Chief Talent Officer for the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP National) as well as provides leadership for the Boston Chapter of NAAAP.

She leads diversity efforts for the talent acquisition team at Bright Horizons Family Solutions. She is an avid New England sports fan.

Joyce Tse
Director of Product Marketing, Genesys &
Project Manager / PR, NAAAP

Joyce Tse is first generation American Born Chinese raised in Queens, NYC and transplanted to Las Vegas, NV in 2007 where she currently resides with her husband. She supports the PR and Marketing initiatives for NAAAP’s 2022 ERG Symposium and National Leadership Academy.

Joyce is a dynamic Marketing Leader with 20+ years experience in B2C and B2B marketing having worked for companies like Barnesandnoble.com, Zappos.com, IBM, Deloitte, and Oracle.

She is currently the Director of Product Marketing at Genesys, a software leader for omnichannel customer experience and contact center solutions. Joyce completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Lavanya (Lava) Iyer
Chief Marketing Officer, NAAAP San Jose & 
Social Media Lead, NAAAP

Lavanya Iyer moved to the United States to pursue her Masters in Marketing Intelligence (MSMI). She graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Management with an MS in August 2021.

She is the social media lead for NAAAP’s 2022 ERG Symposium and National Leadership Academy (NLA) while dual-serving as the Chief Marketing Officer for the NAAAP San Jose Chapter. She also holds an MBA in Marketing and has worked with the financial arm of Larsen and Toubro before moving to the US.

An inquisitive, solution-oriented, and highly-motivated marketer, she has rich experience in digital marketing and overall marketing strategy. In her free time, she loves traveling, hiking, and watching travel shows. Lava is a food enthusiast and enjoys exploring different cuisines across the globe.

Kathryn Mallari
SEO Strategist, Motley Fool &
Website Lead, NAAAP

Kathryn is a first-generation Filipino American from Oakland, CA and now resides in Alexandria, VA. She first joined NAAAP in 2021 where she led the paid and organic social media strategy for the National Leadership Convention (NLC).

This year, she is responsible for all things website design and will take on the Marketing Manager role for NLC 2022. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in strategic marketing, Kathryn is obsessed with the obvious crossover between the two industries.

As an expert in search engine optimization (SEO) for the Motley Fool, she creates content for the personal finance space. When not running after her toddler son, Kathryn also volunteers for NAAAP D.C. where she was nominated the January 2022 member of the month.

Weinna Zheng
Student, White Oaks Secondary School &
Graphic Designer, NAAAP

Weinna Zheng is a first-generation Chinese-Canadian student in the IB Diploma Programme born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area. She is graduating from White Oaks Secondary School this year and plans to major in Design.

This year, she is honoured to serve as the Graphic Designer on the Marketing Team for NAAAP’s 2022 ERG Symposium and National Leadership Academy in Las Vegas.

In her school’s DECA club, Weinna also designs graphics and Instagram posts as Vice-President of Outreach and Communications. In her free time, she loves to draw, play piano, and cook (she is also very interested in jazz music).

She most values open-mindedness, and is excited to meet new people and explore the world.
