“Happy Workplace, Psychological Safe Place.” So says licensed clinician, speaker, and executive coach Jeanie Y. Research shows the numerous benefits, particularly in promoting belongingness, which results in greater employee engagement and productivity because employees feel more comfortable being themselves. This also results in greater trust amongst colleagues.
Amid the pandemic, the word ‘belonging’ was included with DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) due to an altered workplace that is forever changed. There shows a strong need , now more than ever, to cultivate an empathetic and compassionate work environment. This investment in building quality relationships creates a ripple effect across an organization to produce a healthier and happier workforce.
